Good Morning.....
Ideally, I'd like to see Saddam Hussein captured and tried for war crimes. My gripe is with the unoriginal worn-out wording in the print media and television news about our closing in on him. If the noose gets any tighter, I'm going to scream. Surely you know the 'noose' I'm talking about. "The-Noose-Is-Tightening-Around-Saddam" Noose. That's gotta be some motherfucking big-ass noose.

Saturday...Good Morning.
Mick Jagger Turns 60 Today!
He'll be onstage in Prague tonight. The location of the party hasn't been disclosed and reports say it will be at the British Embassy, the BBC said. Former Czech President Vaclav Havel is among the guests invited. Jagger was born in Dartford, east of London, on July 26, 1943. He received a knighthood last year. International Story Rumors of Paul McCartney and Christina Aguilera appearing with the Stones at their SARS benefit Toronto concert Wednesday, July 30. Local Story A robber with a conscience made a deposit into the drop-off box at the Blockbuster Video on Smoky Park Highway worthy of a Hollywood ending. Wednesday morning in the bin, usually home to movies collecting overdue fees, employees found cash, checks, coins and a note. "I'm sorry I robbed this store and I'm sorry for what I put the two employees through that were working that night," the unknown thief wrote. "I made a mistake so I returned all the money." What's making headlines in your community today?
Regional Story Another old fart mistakenly hit the gas pedal and plowed into the Farmer's Mkt injuring 6 people yesterday. Is a conspiracy taking place at Farmer's Markets now? Who are these fuckwits that mistake their gas pedal for the brakes? I don't think I've ever done that. Not straight, anyway. But if I did, would it take me a whole two minutes or so to realize what I was doing, or would I realize what I'd done after a fraction of a second? To mistakenly stomp on the gas for two whole minutes would give me enough time to balance my checkbook, make a grocery list, apply my makeup, and time left over to realize "Oops, wrong pedal."

Pompous Dennis Miller dusting off his pretentious obscure literary references in a piece on Jerry Springer in the latest media effort to show how wide the social gap is between you and Jerry Springer. Trite he's not. But tired, he is. I don't believe I've seen the Blogosphere site before. There's so much weblog apparatus out there. Concerning the Weblog World, does it seem like everyone wants to rename it, dissect it,define it, control it, contain it, expand it, modify it, explain it, deny, defy or cru-ci-fy you, "all I really want to do-o-o-, is baby be friends with you..."? And for a variety of reasons. Because it is a 'world' and a real study in human nature that is part of it's charm. Saturday already? Just as long as I don't have any more rain today. But that's doubtful I won't. Letters From Home I recently ran across an old note I'd written my Father when I was 8 years old. I later found out that it went with him wherever he went. Good Morning to you....
I just watched Johnny Depp on tv and he talked about capping some of his teeth gold and silver for "Pirates", and he still has them. Some of the movie execs took a dim view of it. He thought of the pirates as the rock stars of that era, and to him, Keith Richards is the greatest rock and roll star of all time, so Keith was the inspiration for his "Pirates" role. {Skye saw it last night with friends.} Gov't Ganja For The Ill - patients can now purchase packages containing 30 seeds for $20 each or 30-gram bags of dried pot. Good Morning.....
Having so much rain lately, my almost 15 yo daughter always plays in it. She's begged us to let her play in it since she's been small, and we couldn't really give her a good reason not to. So each time it pours, she runs and laughs and has the best time; walks around the block, or thru the woods, or rides her bike. It's such a joy to watch her free spirit dance and play in the rain. Speaking of Johnny Depp yesterday: Customs officials found stuffed pirahnas and a dead vampire bat in Johnny Depp's luggage on a flight back from Peru. [Page Six Pic ] When we cannot help but notice how millions of progressive love-minded Gay Pride folks across America, from S.F. to N.Y., from Atlanta to Seattle to Chicago, were actually cheering on the Supreme Court last week -- the same crusty bunch that snuck BushCo into office in the first place -- for slapping the tragically heartless GOP right across its wan butt with a leather whip and a shocking 6-3 decision, stunning the Christian right into disbelief and abject terror. Not to mention Canada's gay marriage, and maybe even how the United Kingdom, too, is one step away from legalizing gay unions, and the poor GOP is feeling the slope toward calm debauchery and delicious godlessness getting slippery indeed. Go ask Alice.

Saturday already? Just as long as I don't have any more rain today. But that's doubtful I won't. Yesterday the power was off for 3 hours when nature's stormy wind and rain recital knocked a power poll into the transformer. I made the best of it. Skye and I were on my bed facing each other with candles burning and talking about everything under the sun. Time well spent.
